Essence STAYS no matter what eyeliner pen

Well hello again,

A few months back in my current favourites blog post I mentioned my obsession with a particular eyeliner pen from Bourjois. I didn´t have a negative thing to say about it with exception of the fact that it was too expensive. Just a little bit. Especially for a product that runs out in a couple of months and you have to keep purchasing it over and over again. Don´t get me wrong. I still thing it is a best drugstore eyeliner pen, but the one I just found comes very close.

Recently I purchased a new product from Essence called STAYS no matter what eyeliner pen. When it comes to Essence you just never know if a product is going to be amazing or a disaster. But with their low prices I am willing to take a risk. And that´s exactly what I did this time.

This eyeliner is suppose to be waterproof but I don´t think it is. The other day while watching a touching movie let´s say I shed a tear and it did smudge a little bit. But that really is the only bad thing about it. The formula is great, it dries fairly quickly and it doesn´t move at all throughout the day. It claims to stay on up to 24 hours. I don´t know about that but it really is long lasting. I'm not sure if these come in other shades, mine is in 01 Midnight black, which is a true black. The tip is quite thin so it is very suitable for a winged line.

What is your favourite Essence product? Let me know.

Catrice Cosmetics: Liquid Metal - All Real Gold

Well hello,

lately I have been eyeing and buying a lot of eye make-up products. I have been trying out different eyeliners, eyeshadow bases and eye shadows as well. One of my favourites that I have been using all through summer is Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Metal eyeshadow in All Real Gold. This shade came out as a part of Limited edition collection L´AFRIQUE, C´EST CHIC. And as you may have guessed it, I fell in love with it. It has slight shimmery finish but nothing too fancy, Ha ha. It is beautiful true golden shade and it looks just perfect paired with Maybelline´s Color Tattoo eyeshadow base in Eternal Gold. Just beautiful.

The reason I am mentioning this one is because Catrice Cosmetics has come out with many other beautiful shades in a permanent line for the fall and winter time. The one that is standing out to me the most is a champagne color called We are the Champagnes. But the others are gorgeous as well. They are great quality, very pigmented and flattering. True, they are a bit more pricey than their regular single eye shadows but definitely worth it. They retail for 4,29€.

Have you tried any of these shadows? Which shade is your favourite?

Sleek Blush: Flushed

Well hello,

It was my birthday recently and I received a lot of great presents. One of my favourite is a Sleek blush. Sleek blushes have been on my wish list for quite a while. I know there are a lot of other amazing drugstore blushes, but there is something about Sleek blush colors and packaging that got me.

I received the color Flushed, perfect deep red color for the Fall time. It has some purple undertones in it I suppose. Just beautiful. I think it would suit all skin tones. Also the packaging feels so luxurious and....well sleek. It is quite hard to open but that makes it great for traveling, so you won´t have too worry about it opening and getting all over clothes. But the one thing it makes me love it is the fact that it stays on for a really long time. I´ve had a lot of problems with other blushes, that faded within the first hour. And the last thing I want is to reapply my blush every hour.

So far I am impressed and I will surely get some more shades. Do you own any Sleek blushes? Any thoughts? Let me know.

Manhattan Magic Duo Eyeshadow

Well Hello,

in my last post I talked about discounted OPI nail polishes. On that same site I also found and ordered (but of course! Ha ha) some Manhattan eye shadows, eye shadow duos and trios and so on, with great prices. I hopped in my drugstore too check out the prices and I was stunned. The same duos and trios retail for about 6 Euros and on the site they cost only 0.89 cents!

The one I chose is a neutral duo called Cookies and Cream. The pigmentation is not amazing, but looks very subtle on the eyes. It is perfect for a daytime look. These are great for travel and they are very convenient. The shadows are numbered, so they are very easy to use, weather you are a beginner or a pro. And talk about saving some money. Here is the site.

Hope you find something for yourself. Happy shopping!

OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh?

Well hello,

you probably know I love nail polish and that I own a lot more than I should. But usually I stick to the cheapest ones. But the quality is still important, off course. I just can´t justify spending a lot on a nail polish. However when there is a great sale going on you just can´t miss it. It´s the law!! Ha ha. If you are lusting over an OPI nail polish you might check out this site. You are welcome!

Anyways when I saw discounted OPI nail polishes I had to grab some. The first lucky one is Did You Ear About Van Gogh. Its very light, mixture of brown and grey and I thought this one will be great for the upcoming fall time. But then again all of these shades are great for fall.

OPI - Did You Ear About Van Gogh?

Next we have Gouda Gouda Two Shoes. Don´t you just love the names? This one looks slightly different on the nails then in the tube. On the nails it looks a lot more red than pink and it has golden shimmery undertones. Just fabulous.

And the last but certainly not least is Diva Of Geneva. This one is a duo chrome, purple and metallic-golden-brown. I can´t really explain. But it´s really something. I like the quality of these nail polishes and also the brush, which is just the right size.

If you decide to order any of the nail polishes, let me know which one you chose. Have a great day.

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo: Eternal Gold

Well hello,

if you are familiar with my blog you probably know I have been lusting over this eyeshadow base for a while. I guess it is actually a cream eyeshadow but I prefer using it as a base. I got this a while back and I instantly fell in love with it. This is definitely one of my favourite summer discoveries.

I chose Eternal Gold, because i don´t have anything like it in my collection. And I think this is great for summer, but also around Christmas with a red lip. This makes me excited for Christmas even more!

Eternal Gold swatch

I would say this is quite sheer and shimmery formula, but you can definitely build it up. A lot of people wear this eyeshadow base on its own as an eyeshadow all over the lid, but I prefer some definition in my crease. I find that it does its job of making the eyeshadow pop and stay in place very well. I am really impressed with it not creasing or fading throughout the day.

Also the color selection is quite nice, even though bolder colors scare me quite a bit. I am definitely a neutrals girl. I am already debating which one am I going to try next.

Have you tried any of these cream eye shadows? Which one is your favourite color?

Mac Ravishing lipstick

Well hello,

I have an exciting post for you today, well at least I am excited. After a lot of thinking and lusting over Mac lipsticks I can finally hold one in my hands. There are no Mac stores in my area so having a chance to actually go in a store, see and try them for myself I naturally had to jump to the opportunity. On Monday I went on a little trip to Budapest with my family and hopped in the Mac store. I have been checking out all the Mac lipstick videos, collections, swathes, reviews,...and I almost chose The one I really want.

Stepping into the store I immediately went to the lipstick area, knowing that even looking at any other products would be too tempting. What can I say, I am weak! I started swatching them on my hands and naturally I was in an even bigger predicament. I couldn't stop smiling and I got a few dirty looks from the Mac girls. But still I was on a mission and I couldn´t care less.

With my resent love for coral lipsticks my attention immediately went to coral lipstick. Oddly enough this one was actually the one I knew I wanted to get (I just wasn´t absolutely sure). So it was a match made in haven. Even though I was torn between a few lipsticks I ended up choosing Ravishing. It is a Creemsheen formula, so it is quite moisturising. Now, this is my first Mac lipstick, so I can´t really compare it to any other but I have to say I am very impressed. It is the perfect shade of coral,  not too orange. It just ads a little pop of color, which is perfect for someone who is not so daring with lip color choices. And it stays on a lot longer than I expected, even though it is a Creamsheen finish.

I hope you enjoyed my little embarrassing Mac store story. I hope there will be more in the future (because I want more lippies, ha ha).

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

 Well hello,

I am always on a lookout for a great powder. My skin is really oily, so I always have to set my liquid foundation. Therefore Mattyfying powder is a necessity in my make-up bag. I have tried many drugstore powders before but not one of them really blew me away. So I tend to use it up and when it´s all gone I try something else, hoping the next one, that comes my way will be The one.

I have heard so many great reviews about Rimmels Stay Matte so I recently picked it up. I chose the medium one I guess, since they had 5 different, all pretty pale shades. So it will not be suited for a darker complexion. I chose number 003, Peach glow. I find that it leaves the skin feeling very silky and smoother, which I haven´t noticed in any other powders I previously owned. I don´t think it is all that great, when it comes to mattyfying, as I had to blot my face during the day. And that it not the best sign for a product that raves about it´s mattyfying powers. But I will let you know how it goes in the future.

Do you have a holy grail powder? Let me know.
