Rediscover your closet

Hello!

Spring is just around the corner. And what better time to go shopping. But before you run to your closest shopping mall, make sure you go trough your closet. About a week ago i was looking for something in my closet and i found a brand new bag, that have bought last summer. I put it in the back of my closet, so i can use it in the spring next year and with time passing by i totally forgot about it. And i am sure i have many more jewels hiding in there, waiting to be rediscovered. Haha

So all i am trying to say is that you should go trough your existing clothes and accessories before heading to the shops. This way you will know what you already have and spend your money on things you don´t. You can also donate clothes that you don´t like anymore or don´t fit, and make room for all the new purchases. But make sure you buy wardrobe staples first and then venture out.

Happy shopping!

Macadamia: review (+my hair story)

Hello!

When i was little i had long, thick, strong hair. I always got a lot of compliments and i thought of my hair as my best feature. As years went by i got very bored with my straight, long, brown hair (ahhh, doesn´t this just sound boring?) so i decided to make a change. This was around the time, when ombre hair was becoming trendy. I loved how it looked on other people, so after long consideration i went for it.

Even though i don´t regret making that decision, after a while because of the bleach, curling and straightening, my hair lost all the strength, the ends were dry and damaged and it was impossible to style it. All the products that i used to fix it, seemed to make things even worse and i was really desperate. Then i browsed around YouTube and stumbled upon Macadamia Deep Repair Masque reviews. Everyone raved about it, but i still had my doubts.

Because it seemed like there was no other solution, in December of last year i decided to purchase promotional pack, that included Deep Repair Masque(100ml), Healing Oil Treatment(30ml) and Shampoo(100ml).

Since my hair was really damaged i didn´t really notice a difference at first, but after a few treatments my hair improved, it became a lot more manageable, it looked shiny again and healthy. The mask smells amazing(actually all of these products do), it is in a thicker form, it makes you hair soft, shiny, detangled and it leaves them smelling so good. The oil moisture's the ends, it reduces split ends and even though it is an oil, it does not leave your hair looking oily. I was and still am very pleased with this products.

In the beginning i used Deep Repair Masque every time i washed my hair, which is around 2-3 times a week, on the days that i didn´t wash my hair i used the Oil Treatment on my ends. Now that my hair has improved i use the mask once every 2 weeks, because i don´t want my hair to get used to it to much. It is recommended to use it 1-2 a week. And i use the Oil Treatment on my ends, when i think they look dull, dry, ... so about 1-2 a week. To be honest i don´t really use the shampoo. It is OK and all, but i think that every drugstore shampoo does the same job cleaning your hair, for a lot less money.

In conclusion i really recommend these products. Yes, they are quite pricey, but last a long time and really make a difference. And they also don´t test on animals, which is definitely a plus in my book.

Grade: 5/5 hearts

Have you tried Macadamia products? What are your thoughts?

Have a nice day

Week in pictures #2

Hello!

This past week was quite slow, I didn´t really do much else, but studying and finishing my exams. I have been drawing a lot(mostly for school), and i think i found my new obsession, drawing with pastels. It has also been snowing al lot. Plus i have been eating a lot of chocolate and sweets, thanks to Valentine´s day.
So it actually wasn´t that bad.

What have you been up to?

XOXO

Valentine´s day

Happy valentine´s day!

Ahhhh. Can you feel it? The Romance in the air?

Today is all about showing love to our loved ones and giving small gifts, to remind them of our love and appreciation. But if you are one of those people, who doesn´t have a special someone to share the day with, don´t be discouraged. Love comes in many different forms. You can find it in friendships, in your family, in things you are passionate about. So even if you are not in a relationship at the moment you can still celebrate the things and people that mean a lot to you.

Light up a candle, sit by the fire, watch romantic movies, eat a lot of chocolates (this is a must!) talk to your friends,.... These are some of my suggestions to make your Valentine´s day even more special. Wherever and with whoever you are i hope you have a lovely time.

What is your plan for this special day? Let me know in the comments.

Love

Nina

Best of 2012- lips, nails

Hello lovelies!

This is the last categorie for my favourite products of 2012 and it includes only 2 things, one nail polish and one lipstick.

I already mentioned my favourite nail polish in one of my recent blog posts. It is none other than Catrice cosmetics From dusk till dawn. It is the most perfect shade of brown, not too dark, not too light. And i LOVE it! :)

My favourite lipstick is Revlons Matt lipstick in In the Red . It is a beautiful red wine color, which was definitely IN for the fall and winter time. The only thing that i liked more about it, than the color itself, was the staying power. It stayes on for soooo long, its crazy. Love it!

Do you like Revlon lipsticks? Let me know!

Bye

Best of 2012 - Eyes

Hey hey!

When it comes to eye make-up, last year i kept it very simple for the most part and i didn´t experiment too much. And that is why i don´t have a lot of eye make-up favourites.

One of the things that really impressed me was Catrice cosmetics Prime And Fine primer. It is ment for your whole face, but i wasn´t really impressed with it in that area. It made my oily skin even more oily and faster. I had to repowder my face few times a day, and that says it all. But then i used it as an eye primer and i couldn´t be happier with it. It kept my eye shadow on for hours and hours. It didn´t crease or fade. My eye make-up looked the same at the end of the day as it did, when i applied it in the morning. I was sold! :)

I am not really a fan of shimmery eye shadow, but i found that it works in my favourite brown color in Hot Chocolate from Essence. I used it for my during the day looks, and also as a party look. Basically it was all i wore last year, really.

And the last find was Catrice cosmetics eye liner. It is a more recent purchase, but still amazing. Very pigmented, easy to apply and remove, but it also does´t crease. So it has everything i look for in an eye liner.

What are your favourite eye products?

Stay beautiful :)

Best of 2012 - Face

Hello gorgeous!

I know it is a bit late, but i tought i would share my favourite beauty products of 2012. I am going to devide them in different categories: Eyes, face, and lips+nails. But first here is a little sneak peek ;)

So the first categorie will be face products. My favourite foundation for the past year has been  Infinite MATT foundation from Catrice Cosmetics, which has without a doubt become my favourite drugstore brand - its cheap and effective! Anyway,  the foundation states, that it lasts for up to 18 hours. Now, i never had it on for that long, but i have to say, that the staying power is amazing, it lasts thoughout the day. It stays matt, so i never had to repowder. Simply said, it is an amazing foundation.

Next fave face product has to be Mac studio finish concealer. Last year i had a lot of problems with my skin and this concealer has helped me trough it. It is quite thick consistency, so i don´t recommend it for your under eyes dark circles, because i find, that it creases easily. But for blemishes, it is the best concealer that i tried so far.

My next product is also concealer. it is in a more liquid form, so it is perfect for smaller imperfections on your face, but also for under eye circles. It is from the brand called Misslyn, which is a new brand in my drugstore. And so far i like it. I usually used one or the other concealer, but sometimes the combination of the two.

My favourite powder has been Manhattans Soft Compact Powder in the color Vanille (nbr. 8). And if you can´t tell i just hit pan on it, because i had been using it all the time.

I really love bronzers, especially the Essence Bronzing Compact Powder in I love to be matt. It just works for me. Eventhough it is a bit on the orange side, i make it work. haha

And the last but not least, is my Catrice Cosmetics blush duo in Apricot smoothie. I especially like the orange side, because it warms my face, without making it seem TOO MUCH, if you know what i am trying too say. :)

It is safe to say i will definitely repurchase these products.

Have you tried any of these products? what are your thoughts?
