Mac Kinda sexy lipstick

Well hello,

it´s sexy time...well Kinda Sexy! Ha ha. For all you Mac lovers you probably already know what I am talking about. Ever since I bought Mac´s Ravishing lipstick I have been calculating which Mac lipstick I just need and should choose next. And I have chosen Kinda sexy.

I really wanted a neutral shade I can wear with every eye look and in every season. Kinda sexy is a Matt formula which is my favourite finish of all. You would think it would dry out your lips, but no. Its quite moisturizing and long lasting at the same time. The color is a deeper beige, almost brown color with a hint of orange. I'm sure it is catered for darker skin tone, but looks great on all skin tones. It is not the usual nude choice, but beautiful and elegant regardless. I am not at all surprised for choosing this one, because I don´t think the lighter nude, almost concealer nude shade would suit me. And I also wanted something I can wear on a regular basis. The Mac lipsticks have a signature scent. They smell like vanilla. They are a bit pricey, but worth the splurge. What do you think about them? Let me know which one I should pick up next?

Essence All About Matt foundation

Well hello,

my love for make up started with Essence. This was the cheapest brand available in my drugstore perfect for a beginner, hungry for experimenting like me. But ever since Catrice Cosmetics came out, which is Essence sister brand, I kinda forgott all about Essence. I found the products a little better, the packaging prettier and sadly a bit more expensive. Lately I have been hearing a lot about Essence, people raving about them so I visited their stand once again.

I ran out of my current foundation so I picked up Essence All About Matt foundation. I have been using it for about two weeks and I am quite surprised with the results. It claims to be mattifying, oil-free foundation for a flawless and radiant finish that covers imperfections without clogging the pores. The formula should be long-lasting and moisturising, lasting up to 12 hours. First I thought only 12 hours? I am used to foundations and other products claiming to last up to 24 hours, which usually isn´t correct anyways.

The formula is quite liquidy, which makes it easy for application and blending. It can leave streaks. It quickly dries to Matt, silky finish, yet stays radiant. And I love it. This way I don´t have to cake on my powder. It´s quicker and looks more natural. If you have troubled skin this foundation is probably not the answer for you, as it´s light to medium coverage. It also has a quite pleasant sent, nothing too overpowering. Its a shame it only comes in three different shades. Mine is the lightest, Matt Beige or number 10. But as it dries it becomes slightly orange toned and a bit darker. If you are not too light, this should work for you. I mix it with lighter foundation to create the right shade for me. The mattifying effect stays on surprisingly long. It feels light on the skin, perfect for everyday use.

Catrice Cosmetics: All Round Concealer Palette

Well hello,

I have been passing by this product for a while. But lately my dark under eye circles have been bothering me more and more. I haven't heard any good reviews about this one but I couldn´t seem to find anything similar in the drugstore. So I decided to give it a go.

This compact concealer comes in 5 shades. Three beige tones for concealing blemishes, a green shade to counteract redness and lastly a pink shade to hide the dark under eye circles. First I want to mention that the formula is quite creamy, It slightly melts from the warmth of the hands. I find it quite sheer but buildable to some extent. However I wouldn't use it on the blemishes. But it works as an under eye concealer. Between three beige shades the middle one suits me the best, the lightest one is just a bit too light, It will definitely suit light complexion. The darkest one is a bit too dark, perhaps I can use it in the summer time. The one thing great about having these three shades is that you can mix them and create a shade that works for you.

I actually like the green shade. I think it works quite well. I use it on my blemishes to reduce the redness and I put foundation on top. If I´m still not satisfied with coverage I ad some thicker concealer, right now I am using Bourjois Healthy mix concealer, which I love.

I am pretty sure the pink shade should be more salmon and not as pink, but my under eye circles are pretty dark so I guess it works this way too. I can definitely see a difference, but it is probably not the best out there.

This concealer palette comes in a compact plastic packaging, which makes it perfect for travel. And as all the other Catrice Cosmetics products it is very affordable. The product itself is decent, but nothing too crazy. It is not one of those products you just have to have, but good for the beginners to try out.

What do you think about this palette?

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo: Permanent Taupe

Well hello,

Fall is finally here and I am so happy to use darker, vampier colors. I love wearing statement purple or burgundy lips and I usually combine it with neutral eye shadows and winged eyeliner.

One of my favourite eye product has become Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe. This shade is the most beautiful browny-taupe color. I already own Eternal Gold which i love as well, but this one seems to be more universal in timeless. The color will suit all skin tones and it is wearable in all seasons. It is perfect for day looks or smoky night outs. It can be used on its own or as an eyeshadow base. It is very quick to use. You can apply it using your fingers or brushes. It is buildable but looks stunning sheer as well.

I find it doesn´t crease at all and stays on all day without fading. I like to use it on top of eye primer but it is not necessary at all. And another thing I love about it that it is Matt. It has no shimmer whatsoever. It feels very light on the lids and its very comfortable to wear.

It really is one of my favourite products right now I would definitely repurchase this shade. If you ask me It is a must for the Fall and Winter time. And I am sure I will be buying more shades from their collection.

Do you own any of Color Tattoos? Which shade is your favourite?

Deborah Milano 24 ORE lip pencil

Well hello,

I have been on a hunt for a perfect nude lip liner for ages, but nothing seems to catch my eye. Until now. I found lip pencil that blew me away. With lip liners I find that they are whether to creamy and slide right off my lips or too drying and Matt.

Deborah Milano 24 ORE lip liners seem to be in a perfect middle. I find them very creamy and moisturizing but long lasting as well. The colors are stunning and a great variety. And the price is just right. The color I ended up choosing was not nude but soft pink in number 02. One of those my lips but better shades. Pink shades don´t particularly suit me but this one I adore.

These pencils are very pigmented and good quality. They feel very luxurious on the lips and most importantly they don´t settle in the lines of the lips. You can use them on there own or  as a base for the lipstick. Either way they work very well. Definitely my favourite lip pencil and I will be purchasing some more of these beautiful shades in the future.

Are you familiar with this brand? Which product do you recommend?

120 Eyeshadow Palette

Well hello,

As you might know, It was my birthday a few weeks ago and one of my presents was a 120 eyeshadow palette. I wanted one to play with the colors, see what colors suit my eye color and skin tone the most and to expand my collection a little bit. Because I am a neutrals girl I have chosen the neutral shades. Even though they might seem the same I can assure you the colors are similar but different at the same time. Most of them are matt and slightly shimmery and there are some that are just pure shimmer. I don´t really like those but there are only 5 or so of those so I am not bothered. Some colors are very subtle, some are deep and highly pigmented. There is a good variety of allover the lid colors, crease colors and highlights. The colors are mostly earth tones: Brown, red, orange, yellow and then there only a few pinks, greens and blues, purples, blacks and whites. A perfect variety for daytime and night time looks, from subtle to smokey, the options are endless. The palette has no brand, the packaging is simple, black and medium sized.

I am really impressed with this palette. It was inexpensive for great quality product. A few shadows did come broken, but I can still use those so it doesn´t bother me that much. The only negative I see is that this palette is not suitable for travel. If you want to check it out, here is the link.
