Nivea BB cream review

Well Hello there,

BB creams have made quite an impact in the makeup world and are a must for this summertime. Everyone is impressed and a little obsessed (haha, didn´t mean to rhyme) and of course I caved in to the pressure. A while ago I decided to try out this raved about product and here are my thoughts.

I wasn´t really picky so I ended up picking the first that I saw. I bought the Nivea BB cream in the shade light. They come in two other shades, medium and dark. I thought it would be perfect for the summer, when I don´t really like to wear makeup, because I practically live in the water during the summer. At the time light coverage, moisturising BB cream seamed like the right choice. Even though I think they are well overpriced, but what isn´t these days, am I right?

As mentioned before I got the lightest shade available, which ended up being not so light at all. I guess it is meant for tanned skin, but it just didn´t work for my pale skin. Plus it has red undertones, which makes the skin look burned, not tanned. As you can imagine, I am not very happy about that. The smell is really nice though, it has that nice Nivea cream scent. On the skin it feels very light and it moisture's the skin, but It doesn't absorb well which leaves the skin look too glowy, oily even. And I tried adding a little powder, but It doesn´t make much difference.

And the last thing that I am bothered with is coverage. It is light, but it does not cover any blemishes, it rather emphasize them and it makes the skin look awful. My skin is quite clear, but using this BB cream it looks terrible. I never thought I would say this, but I would rather go out without any makeup and that says something.

Even though I hoped it would make wonders It really let me down. And it was quite expensive too. I don´t like the color, formula of this product and neither the feel on the skin. I am sad to say I actually regret purchasing this product and I kinda lost hope in BB creams.

I probably should research about the BB creams before buying, so lesson learned. Still me disliking this product (a lot!) doesn´t mean it won´t work for you. I might try it again after I get a tan and I will update you on that. If you try it let me know how it goes.

My grade: 1/5 hearts

Spring lips

Hello

A while back I shared my top nail color pics for the spring time. So I figured I would show you my top 5 lipstick shades, that I will be rocking this spring. For spring I like wearing nude, orange or light pink shades. Basically, something that keeps my lips moisturized, but still bring some attention to my lips, spice up my outfit.

1. Nivea Beaute - Sunny Orange (70)
This lipstick is fairly old, It used to belong to my mom. So I am not sure if it is still available. But I really like it. It is very moisturizing, quite pigmented orange, with blue undertones, which makes your teeth appear whiter. It isn´t very long lasting, but most sheer lipsticks aren´t. It is perfect for spring and summer days, when you want something extra. On the lips it looks like a toned down red, that still brings some drama!

2. Maybelline Color Sensational - Cherry Pop (080)
This one is even more sheer, but surprisingly pigmented enough . I do have to reapply it very often. It is moisturizing and smells really good. The name suggests, that the color should be red, but on the lips it looks pretty orange to me. It is not heavy on the lips at all.

3. Bourjois Rouge Edition - Peche Cosy (03)
Peche Cosy is my absolute favourite color. Not just from Rouge Edition collection, but overall. The only problem I have with it is the taste. A while back I did a full review on this one, which you can read here.

4. Catrice Cosmetics - Be Natural (010)
This was my first nude lipstick, that I actually like. It is very pigmented, on the lips it looks shiny, which slowly fades and the color blends beautifully with the natural lip color. Very moisturizing, beautiful color with warm undertones.

5. Catrice Cosmetics - Frozen Rose (130)
It is a very light, baby pink shade, that looks shiny on the lips. Very moisturising and pigmented. Again the shine fades away in time and leaves beautiful pink lips.

Have you tried any of these? Let me know.

Love,

Empties #1

Products:

- Nivea indulging cleansing milk
This has been my favourite eye make-up remover for years. It is very creamy and sensitive to the eyes, yet effective at removing make-up. Since i have sensitive eyes it really fits.

- Dove rich nourishment cream
I don´t know if i mentioned this before, but i really love Dove products. My favourite is this rich nourishment hand cream. The name says it all. it is very rich and nourishing, and a must for cold winter days.

- Catrice cosmetics All round mascara
I bought this mascara on sale, so i didn´t really expect any miracles. As i predicted i didn´t find it amazing. There is nothing special about it. :(

- Manhattan Mat effect eyeshadow in 29C Mat ivory
I used this eyeshadow for blending my eyeshadow to make it softer. But i found that face powder does the same job, therefore i won´t be repurchasing this item. But these eye shadows do have good pigmentation.

- Maybelline Affinitone concealer
Even though it looks like there is still some product in the tube it really isn´t. Anyway, i had really high expectations for this concealer, but it let me down. It is not that great. I mean, it semi-conceals imperfections, but that doesn´t work for me. So i am on a hunt for an amazing liquid concealer. Any suggestions?

- Essence Soft and natural foundation
Again, it is not AMAZING, but for the price it comes pretty close. This was my third repurchase, and actually the first foundation i have ever tried. That is why it will always have a special place in my heart. :)

Have you tried any of these? Any thoughts?

Love,
