Dot Dot Dot

 Well Hello,

I don´t really like nail art, well I like it, just not on me for some reason. But every once in a while I like to spice up my nails with some easy and quick nail art. Usually I take out my dotting tool and keep on dotting. This time was noting different. I bought this Catrice Cosmetics nail polish in Walk The Lime about a month ago, fell in love with it at first sight and I haven´t used any other nail polish since. The color is unique, bright and just beautiful. It is clearly my favourite nail polish this summer. However after about three months it was starting to get a bit boring. When I like something I wear it non stop. It is the same with my music. When I like a song I keep it on Re-peat-peat-peat until I don´t like it anymore. haha. So I thought adding something in the mix will freshen it up, make it more special. And it did just that. It´s nothing too special, but special enough. Which is you´re favourite nail polish for the summer? Let me know.

Favourite summer lipsticks

Well hello!

I love my red lipsticks for every occasion and season but this summer I found myself reaching for three lipsticks, more than any other. First is very bright barbie pink color lipstick from Rimmel London in number 16, from Kate Moss collection. This lipstick is very long lasting, moisturising and fun. The brightness makes it perfect for the summertime. Next fave is my all time favourite lipstick and it is Peche Cosy from Bourjois, from the Rouge Edition. I wore this soft peachy color already through the spring and it looks like my obsession with it is not ending any time soon. And the last and newest addition to my collection is Princess Peach from Catrice Cosmetics from their Ultimate Color line. It warms my face perfectly, stays on for ages and the color is just fab. This one is a lot more orange and brighter than Peche cosy, which is peachy-nude. What are you´re most reached for lipsticks? Let me know.

Beauty Wishlist

 Well hello,

Lately I have been trying not to spend money on things I don´t really need, but sometimes I think I should be allowed to treat myself. And what better way to do so, than buying new beauty products. Also I am running out of some bits, so it is about time for me to venture out and try some new products. Here is a list of beauty things I have been eyeing for a while now.

I really want to try Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers in Luna. I already own one in Celestial, which is gorgeous and I really like the Formula. But I have a feeling I am going to love Luna even more.

A year ago I started applying my makeup with brushes, before that I always used my hands. The brushes were really cheap and great for a brush beginner, but now, I really want some great quality brushes, that don´t shed, apply the products evenly and are easy to clean. I heard a lot of great things about the Real Techniques brushes, so I would love to try them out.

Another brands products, I haven´t had the chance to try out is Sleek. I really want to get one of their natural shades palette and the contour kit. Their quality is compared to higher end products and they just look lovely. Also I don´t own any great palette with natural eye shadows, so it would come in handy.

I heard a lot about the Maybelline Color Tatoo´s. I swatched them a few times, but haven´t had the courage to get them. The colors are lovely and bright, but not very wearable, at least for me. The ones I do think would look great for summer are the gold (Bold Gold) and bronze one (Bad To The Bronze), so I would love to try them out.

And lastly, I am running out of my favourite face powder. So it is about time to try Rimmel London´s Stay Matt face powder. Everyone is raving about this bad boy, so I am quite excited to get it.

What is on your beauty wishlist? Let me know.

Nivea BB cream review

Well Hello there,

BB creams have made quite an impact in the makeup world and are a must for this summertime. Everyone is impressed and a little obsessed (haha, didn´t mean to rhyme) and of course I caved in to the pressure. A while ago I decided to try out this raved about product and here are my thoughts.

I wasn´t really picky so I ended up picking the first that I saw. I bought the Nivea BB cream in the shade light. They come in two other shades, medium and dark. I thought it would be perfect for the summer, when I don´t really like to wear makeup, because I practically live in the water during the summer. At the time light coverage, moisturising BB cream seamed like the right choice. Even though I think they are well overpriced, but what isn´t these days, am I right?

As mentioned before I got the lightest shade available, which ended up being not so light at all. I guess it is meant for tanned skin, but it just didn´t work for my pale skin. Plus it has red undertones, which makes the skin look burned, not tanned. As you can imagine, I am not very happy about that. The smell is really nice though, it has that nice Nivea cream scent. On the skin it feels very light and it moisture's the skin, but It doesn't absorb well which leaves the skin look too glowy, oily even. And I tried adding a little powder, but It doesn´t make much difference.

And the last thing that I am bothered with is coverage. It is light, but it does not cover any blemishes, it rather emphasize them and it makes the skin look awful. My skin is quite clear, but using this BB cream it looks terrible. I never thought I would say this, but I would rather go out without any makeup and that says something.

Even though I hoped it would make wonders It really let me down. And it was quite expensive too. I don´t like the color, formula of this product and neither the feel on the skin. I am sad to say I actually regret purchasing this product and I kinda lost hope in BB creams.

I probably should research about the BB creams before buying, so lesson learned. Still me disliking this product (a lot!) doesn´t mean it won´t work for you. I might try it again after I get a tan and I will update you on that. If you try it let me know how it goes.

My grade: 1/5 hearts

Summer fever: nail polish favourites

Well hello,

I recently went through my growing stash of nail polishes and I picked my favourite 10, that I am going to use in the summer. When I hear someone mentioning summer nail polish colors my mind immediately goes to bright citrusy colors: yellow, lime, orange colors and also pink and obviously we have to include the color of the sea. Everything is fair in love, war and summer, so you can wear all the colors, the brighter the better! Here are my faves. Enjoy.
