Essence Love Letters Eye pencil review

Well hello,

you probably know my love for Catrice Cosmetics kohl kajal eye liners. No matter what I try I always go back to Catrice ones. I own plenty of colors, from black to brown, from blue to green, but I wanted to find something that is quite dark, but looks more elegant and subtle. Black eye liner sometimes looks a bit harsh for everyday wear.

Essence recently came out with a new collection called Love letters. So I decided to try out their dark grey eye liner. I swatched it in the store and it looked quite good. Also since it is a sister brand to Catrice it souldn´t  be bad.

As it turns out I have been wearing ever since I got it. It is very creamy, so it is very easy to smudge. I love smudging my eyeliner for a smoky effect. It also comes with a smudging tool on the other end. But it doesn´t smudge on its own. Honestly it is not very different from the black one, just a little more wearable on everyday basis. It stays on all day long. Also it is quite cheap. I really do like it.

Have you bought anything from the collection? What did you think about the quality?

Catrice Cosmetics Crushed crystals nail polish review

Well hello,

I am not the biggest fan of glitter nail polishes, especially because they are really hard to remove. And I don´t really like the fact that they are basically clear polish with one or two glitters in it. But then I saw crushed crystals from Catrice and couldn´t resist.

It´s a special nail polish for a unique sand effect and it has ultimate coverage with sparkling rough finish. Basically it is nail polish filled with different glitter parts and sparkles that cover your whole nail. The different glitters really make it special.

I chose the color 04 - Oyster and Champagne. It has white and gold fine sparkles and rosy bigger glitter parts. It all looks very elegant. Its one of those special yet subtle colors. So it works on everyday occasions as well as for party's and such. It also changes color a bit if you add a different color polish underneath. I used a light pastel orange and  it looked so cute. Also only one coat is necessary. And it barely chips at all. Great for all of as who are too lazy to keep reapplying nail polish.

I really hope they keep this in a permanent range and add new shades. Right now I only saw three shades. Mine, pink and grey. But those two didn´t look to special to me. These ones are a bit more expensive then the rest of the nail polishes. They are about 3,50 Euros. I really recommend them. You definitely should pick them up.

Have you tried these? Any thoughts?

Gosh Natural Blush - Rose Whisper review

Well hello,

In my 2013 favourites I mentioned my obsession with Gosh Natural Blush in the color  Rose Whisper (36).  Even the name is beautiful. Basically it is my cheeks, but better kinda color. That is why it looks  so natural and effortless on my cheeks. It goes with just about any look. I use this blush when I don´t really know where I want to go with my make-up.

It is very light rosy color and matte finish, my favourite. It feels very buttery and the application is very easy. And it doesn´t look powdery on the skin. The pigmentation is quite good. It blends well and the color is buildable. But it probably wouldn´t show up on tan skin or it could look ashy. The only downside is the lack of color selection. I only saw three shades on the stand. But they were all really pretty and pretty basic colors.

The packaging resembles Mac´s a lot. It is very sleek and travel friendly. It really is a great blush, however I do think it is a bit overpriced. Still, I don´t regret buying it at all. It is my go-to blush and I have been getting so many compliments on it. I love that it warms up my skin tone and makes me look fresh and young. I really do recommend it.

Have you tried any gosh products? What should I try  next?

Best of 2013 - Lips, nails, hair

Well hello,

this is the last category, containing nail, lip and hair products. Let´s get into it, shall we?

I thought choosing my favourite lipstick is going to be a lot harder that is actually was. Ever since I tried it for the first time Mac´s Kinda Sexy stood out from everything else that I own... The buttery finish, great pigmentation, staying power, this one had it all. It is matte finish but not drying at all. Its considered to be a neutral shade, but on my light skin it looks brownish red. It probably doesn´t sound very attractive, but on the lips and my complexion it looks quite beautiful.

Next lip product is waterproof lip liner from the brand Art Deco. The vibrant fuchsia color in number 91 was one of my favourite shades last fall. And It is so long lasting. This is one of those lip products you put on once and can dance the night away, drinking, having fun without worrying about your lipstick smudging all over your face. Definitely one of the greatest lip products I have tried so far.

You already know I own a lot of nail polish, so I really tried to restrain myself from buying a lot of nail polish last year. And I quite succeeded. One of the few I did purchase is Essence nail polish called Gold Digger. This shade was on my nails all through  December. A perfect combination of elegant, festive and subtle. And I got a lot of compliments on it.

I already talked about my love for this next product. My new  favourite make-up remover from Loreal. Their Skin Perfection removes the makeup and also benefits the skin. And doesn´t irritate the eyes, so it is  perfect for all the sensitive eyes out there, ha ha.

I don´t talk about hair products a lot, because when I find something that works I tend to stick to it. Macadamia deep repair masque really made a difference in my hair. My hair has never been so smooth, silky and healthy looking before. True, it is not cheap at all, but worth the money. A little goes a long way. This little guy will last you for a while.

I  hope you enjoyed my 2013 favourite posts and found them useful. If you need any more information don´t hesitate to ask. Tell me, what are your fave products from 2013?

Love,
