Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Well hello,
when it comes to foundations I usually stick to what I know and love, which just happens to be my Catrice Cosmetics All About Matt Foundation. As I was running low on supply I decided to change things up and choose something else. Even though I heard this name being thrown around in the Beauty community I wasn´t really paying attention to what was being said. Still, I picked up the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation shade Classic beige, 201, which was the lightest shade available at the store at that time. Which ended up being a little too dark for me.
Right off the bat, there was something really unique about this foundation. It is quite thick, yet extremely smooth to the touch, which I like quite a lot. It´s not like your average liquid foundation, it has creamy consistency. It blends very easily and leaves the skin looking dewy and natural. If you look really closely you can notice a bit of shimmer in the bottle, which is not noticeable once applied to the face. The coverage is medium, but buildable, without looking cakey. It has a nice creamy smell to it. It also has SPF 15 which is a bonus. I usually don´t mention the packaging, since the only thing that really matters is the actual product. But this one looks quite expensive. I really enjoy it.
On the negative side, I did notice that it doesn´t last very long. After a few hours it starts fading away. I have quite oily skin and I found I had to blot and powder my face many times throughout the day. It emphasized my oily T-zone, which I haven´t experienced with any other foundation before. That is why I would recommend this foundation to people with dry or combination skin or wearing it in cooler seasons.
With all that said I still really like this foundation and use it on a regularly basis. I just mix it with my lighter, Mattyfying foundation and it creates the perfect color and finish for my skin. It is one of those foundations you throw on when you don´t feel like wearing a full face of make-up, you only need a bit and you are good to go. Just remember to always have your fave powder nearby. Have you tried this foundation? Let me know your thoughts.

My No Make-up Look
Well hello,
I generally love wearing smoky eyes and fun lip colors, but most of the time I wear very simple and natural look. I just don´t see the need to wear a ton of make-up during the day. So I wanted to share the products I use on a daily basis to achieve a flawless no make-up look.
I recently bought Nude Illusion Foundation from Catrice Cosmetics in the lightest shade available, 010 Nude Ivory and honestly I have quite a love and hate relationship with it. The first few days I was applying it with my hands and it looked just awful. But then I tried using the Blending Sponge and I have to say it leaves quite a natural, dewy finish. Still it only lasts a few hours before if starts fading away. I will keep on trying it out and let you know the final result.
Under my eyes I use Maybelline´s Instant Anti-Age Effect The Eraser Eye concealer, shade Fair 03. I love the applicator and the way it brightens up my whole face. At the moment this is my fave concealer for under eye dark circles, but you can use it also for highlighting or blemishes.
For my blemishes I always use my holy grail concealer, Bourjois Healthy Mix in the shade 51.It is thicker consistency which covers all the imperfections. you can read my full review here.
In addition to having dark under eye circles I also have dark eyelids. I usually use the foundation to conceal them but lately I have been using Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the color Soft Ochre. Even when I don´t put on any eyeshadow, I think it lasts longer and It doesn´t crease.
I top everything with Translucent Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to set the concealer and prevent it from creasing and I also use it on my T-zone, which tends to get quite oily.
With light hand I contour and bronze with my holy grail Essence Bronzing Powder in Love to be Matt (02). As the name suggests it is a Matt bronzer with orange undertones. And I add a bit of natural color Blush. My favourite blush is Rose Whisper from Gosh.
For my eyes I like to use brown eyeliner, because it looks more subtle and natural. I use Catrice Cosmetics Khol Kajal eyeliner. My favourite Mascara is still 2000 Calorie from Max Factor. Lastly I add a highlighter under my brow bone, inner corners of the eyes and on a cupids bow. It comes in a form of jumbo pencil and it is Catrice Cosmetics Eyebrow Lifter in number 010, Lift Me Up, Scotty!

A Touch of Spring in The Fall Time?
Well hello,
I know everyone is already busy layering their dark clothes and digging out their vampy lipsticks, but I can´t seem to part with my spring colors, especially on my nails. Since I mostly wear black clothes all year around I enjoy wearing bright and colorful nail polishes. So, you do your thing and I will sport a little touch of spring in the Fall time.
A couple months back I received three spring shade Rimmel nail polishes for my B-day (that I have picked out myself) and I have been obsessed with them ever since. The colors are absolutely gorgeous and I am having a hard time leaving them behind. My absolute fave of the trio is the one I already owned and raved about on my blog: Misty Jade. I am usually not a fan of green color but there is something about this one that has me mesmerized. I think it might be my fave nail polish shade ever. I really do. It makes my skin look tan and it makes me happy just looking at it.
And lastly a pale yellow shade: Lemon Drop, This one looks so gorgeous. It is quite pale, which means the skin will appear darker. Have you noticed a theme here? I have quite pale skin, so wearing lighter shades of nail polish helps. Still, the polish looks so soft and elegant on the nails. Perfect shade for any season.
Are you breaking any Fall time rules like me and holding onto summer? Share your secrets in the comments.

Best of 2013 - Face
| My favourite make-up products of 2013 |
Well hello,
2013 has been quite a year. I presented my first designs at Fashion week, I traveled a bit, visited Sephora for the first time,... But it wasn´t all great. There sure were some ups and downs. But I´m curious to see what the new year will bring.
I spent a lot of money on make-up last year. My make-up collection grew tremendously, which I am really happy about. And now I would like to show you the products I reached for the most. I don´t have a product for every category, which means I haven´t found something I love yet or I have been using the same product as the year before. I am splitting them in categories: Face, Eyes and Other. You can see my 2012 favourites here: Face, Eyes, Lips.
Let´s start with Face favourites. I don´t have a new foundation this year, because I always seem to go back to Infinite Matt foundation from Catrice Cosmetics. But I did find a new powder, that I actually like. It is Rimmels Stay Matte powder, that everyone raves about. Mine is in the shade 003 Peach glow. I have a review here. Now, I don´t love this powder, but it is by far the best one I have tried so far.

I finally found my holy grail concealer. And it is from drugstore! I have been absolutely loving and repurchasing Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer. It is thicker consistency and it covers blemishes very well.

In 2013 I also found a love for blushes. And because I can´t choose my absolute favourite, I decided to show you two of my most worn blushes. I talked about first one before, It is Sleeks Flushed Blush. The color is very suitable for fall and I love it. But the thing that makes this blush so special is the pigmentation. It is crazy pigmented and very long lasting.
Next one I purchased towards the end of the year but I am obsessed with it. It is Gosh Natural Blush in the shade Rose Whisper, number 36. They don´t have many shades available, but this one really stood out. It might not look anything special at first, but it gives the most natural flush to the cheeks and it makes me look younger and well rested. I absolutely love it. I will do a review on this one very soon.
And that is it for now. Stay tuned for my favourite Eye products of 2013.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Well hello,
I am always on a lookout for a great powder. My skin is really oily, so I always have to set my liquid foundation. Therefore Mattyfying powder is a necessity in my make-up bag. I have tried many drugstore powders before but not one of them really blew me away. So I tend to use it up and when it´s all gone I try something else, hoping the next one, that comes my way will be The one.
I have heard so many great reviews about Rimmels Stay Matte so I recently picked it up. I chose the medium one I guess, since they had 5 different, all pretty pale shades. So it will not be suited for a darker complexion. I chose number 003, Peach glow. I find that it leaves the skin feeling very silky and smoother, which I haven´t noticed in any other powders I previously owned. I don´t think it is all that great, when it comes to mattyfying, as I had to blot my face during the day. And that it not the best sign for a product that raves about it´s mattyfying powers. But I will let you know how it goes in the future.
Do you have a holy grail powder? Let me know.

Favourite summer lipsticks
Well hello!
I love my red lipsticks for every occasion and season but this summer I found myself reaching for three lipsticks, more than any other. First is very bright barbie pink color lipstick from Rimmel London in number 16, from Kate Moss collection. This lipstick is very long lasting, moisturising and fun. The brightness makes it perfect for the summertime. Next fave is my all time favourite lipstick and it is Peche Cosy from Bourjois, from the Rouge Edition. I wore this soft peachy color already through the spring and it looks like my obsession with it is not ending any time soon. And the last and newest addition to my collection is Princess Peach from Catrice Cosmetics from their Ultimate Color line. It warms my face perfectly, stays on for ages and the color is just fab. This one is a lot more orange and brighter than Peche cosy, which is peachy-nude. What are you´re most reached for lipsticks? Let me know.

Beauty Wishlist
Well hello,
Lately I have been trying not to spend money on things I don´t really need, but sometimes I think I should be allowed to treat myself. And what better way to do so, than buying new beauty products. Also I am running out of some bits, so it is about time for me to venture out and try some new products. Here is a list of beauty things I have been eyeing for a while now.
I really want to try Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers in Luna. I already own one in Celestial, which is gorgeous and I really like the Formula. But I have a feeling I am going to love Luna even more.
A year ago I started applying my makeup with brushes, before that I always used my hands. The brushes were really cheap and great for a brush beginner, but now, I really want some great quality brushes, that don´t shed, apply the products evenly and are easy to clean. I heard a lot of great things about the Real Techniques brushes, so I would love to try them out.
Another brands products, I haven´t had the chance to try out is Sleek. I really want to get one of their natural shades palette and the contour kit. Their quality is compared to higher end products and they just look lovely. Also I don´t own any great palette with natural eye shadows, so it would come in handy.
I heard a lot about the Maybelline Color Tatoo´s. I swatched them a few times, but haven´t had the courage to get them. The colors are lovely and bright, but not very wearable, at least for me. The ones I do think would look great for summer are the gold (Bold Gold) and bronze one (Bad To The Bronze), so I would love to try them out.
And lastly, I am running out of my favourite face powder. So it is about time to try Rimmel London´s Stay Matt face powder. Everyone is raving about this bad boy, so I am quite excited to get it.
What is on your beauty wishlist? Let me know.

Misty Jade
Hello beautiful
I wanted to share my rediscovered LOVE, Rimmel London nail polish called Misty Jade in number 045. I have been wearing it for the second week in the row, which doesn´t happen often, unless I really love the color. The color itself is really hard to describe. It´s something between green and blue. I guess the name describes it perfectly. Very vibrant and eye-catching. Beautiful and uncommon. I always get compliments on it when I wear it.
I think Rimmel London nail polishes are one of the best drugstore nail polishes out there. I own only few, because they don´t sell it anywhere where I live. Which is very said, since they are so cheap, long lasting are they come in many beautiful colors.
Do you like this color?

Rimmel apocalips lip lacquer review
I have been dying to try Rimmel apocalips lip lacquers for a while, so i am so happy that i finally got the chance. Before i tell you what i think about it, i have to tell you i absolutely despise lip glosses. I hate the tackiness, ugh. Hate it. But hearing all those good things and reviews, it really made me curious. And i am so glad i went for it. I picked the color Celestial (101).
I absolutely love this product. It has AMAZING pigmentation. The colors are very vibrant and the color selection is pretty decent. It is also long lasting. The application is easy and quick. Even tough it is very similar to lip glosses it is not tacky. It has a certain smell, but i can´t say i love or hate it. I like the packaging, it is different, cute and convenient.
I love it! :)
